Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2016

Project #1: I used the World's Fair paper pad to create this collections tray. I fussy cut several images from the collection and added metal embellishments, some wood hot air balloons that I colored with distress ink and glossy accent, and finished up with flowers.

Project #2: I used Enchanted Forest to create a fantasy looking storybook. The album has pocket pages with photo mats inside. I made several flip out photo spots, with pockets and tags on the pages. I accordion folded paper and put it in the spine so it would look like storybook pages. I embellished with pearls, flowers and vintage metal pieces.

Project #3: I used the Rate Oddities paper pad to create this mixed media canvas. I created this dimensional letter using a technique that I show in the tutorial video below. I covered the canvas with the paper and used molding paste and stencils to create layers, which I sprayed with distress ink. The embellishments range from a drawer pull, to wood bird cages, flowers, gears, and pearls.

Tutorial: I created this tutorial video that walks through creating the dimensional letter I used on the project #3 canvas. It shows a creative way to create your own dimensional letters in any size and font that you would need for your project. At the end you get to see how I use the letter and complete the assembling of the canvas.

Friends Are Treasures

These are two boxes that I made my friends for Christmas. The paper collection that I used was Carta Bella Ahoy There collection pack. Inside the box I matted a picture of us at the coast by the lighthouse so when the ornament was not in the box there was still a sentiment to it. I chalked the edges in blue and used nautical ribbon, sea shells and buttons for embellishments.

Class in Session

Last summer I did a week of tutorials for my scrapbook (work) friends. Every day after work we would go to our bosses house and I would teach them how to do one element of a scrapbook, so by the end of the week they would have the tools to complete a book.

I created these one page tutorials with measurements and step by step directions. I would walk though each tutorial with them just to make sure they were understandable, so they could use them at any time, with or without me.

Typography Journal

Writing Journal using Graphic 45's Typography paper pad. I created this out of chipboard with two envelope pages, a writing tablet and a couple pockets. For the front I used a drawer pull that I turned upside down and fussy cut out writing tools and positioned into the drawer pull.

Gilded Lily Cake Album

Graphic 45's Gilded Lily chipboard cake album. This album has a decorative sign that I covered and paper and created dimensional letters that spell "Cake."

Far East

DCWV The Far East Stack shadow box with chipboard album inside. The box was a wooden box that I cut a window out of to build the shadow box into. I decorated the inside and added a one page chipboard album that has a couple spots for journaling and pictures.

Glitter Album

This is a 8x8 chipboard album with pockets, journal tags, and photo mats. The spine has misc. charms and buttons.
